I feel pretty good about my eating less. I don't have the carbs, protein and fat down yet but just eating less is really boosting me. I call, breakfast a lunch then the rest of the day in my mind it's not called meals but snacks. "meals to me mean a lot of food."

Tonight I am going to have popcorn. I thought I had the kind you pop on the stove but have to resort to the microwave kind. Not my favorite but it is what it is.

keeping the amount of cals under 1200 is good !!! Remember if you are going to eat a carb, have some protein with it :)

Hey Connie That's great - it takes time to get everything together on the carbs and protein - I still think Im not that great at it - but I tend to try and keep a balance. How was the popcorn? Debbie

Debbie the popcorn was great. I know adding butter was not a good idea but I refuse to give up everything. Once in awhile won't hurt because I used to eat popcorn with butter every night. Lunch today is one piece of corn bread and dried brown beans. Corn bread not so good for me but I know the beans are. Bought a bag of mixed beans to make bean soup. Hubby wrinkled his nose up as he tossed a package of thick pork chops in the cart. I took them out a put a package of thin pork chops in. haha

I am not sure what colour corn bread is as I am not familiar with it. We don't have it in Ireland. I work on the assumption that apart from porridge and eggs if it's white I should avoid it, ie rice, bread, pasta etc.

Annmarguerite, I would avoid it. Here in the states it's common to have beans and corn bread. It's yellow and made with corn meal.

Connie - You made me laugh out loud to myself with your comment of hubby with the pork chops - too funny! I have a hubby who is in good shape and isn't on a diet like me - it doesn't help sometimes like yesterday I fasted for the first 3/4 of the day - then Hubby got home and it went all down hill - and it was my fault not him!
