One handy tip that works for me is to enter food that I plan to eat ahead of time. This helps me to know what my calorie intake will be for the day TOTAL, before the day is through. If I feel I need to adjust I can do that on the fly. It also helps me to adhere to my daily diet plan. To me this helps lessen the chance that I may add extra calories by not knowing what I'm going to eat. I know that a lot of people (myself included) will "graze" if they aren't sure of what they want. If you plan ahead of time you can adjust to your moods. In fact if I know what I'm going to cook ahead of time I actually look forward to it. Just a little something that helps me!
