Well - here we are back at 111.4, soooo time for a 5th 2% increase in cals, which will bring me to an average of 1890 cals/day. It's interesting because calculator.net states that for a woman my height, age, and exercise level (active exercise 4-5 times/week). The maintenance cals are 1695. So, far I am eating almost 200 cals more per day :-)
I understand the jury is still out for many about whether the "reverse diet" method actually works in helping one to consume more than they normally are able too in order to maintain...but, Imma keep going with it. It ain't hurtin' thats for sure. LOL
Below is the new calorie trajectory. Only, the goal is to keep it here for the next 3 weeks before another increase is considered. There are a couple of reasons, I'm holding steady.
(1890 cals/day - Reverse diet increase by 2%). This accounts for maintenance cals and activity level for age 47.

1. Next week is my 47th Birthday and I have a surplus day planned, which will of course skew the data in terms of average weight.
2. Adjustment to food capacity. I was definitely able to tell with this last increase just how full I was after a meal. In short, this stomach needs to adjust to eating increased amounts of food.
So around Nov 8, another another increase will be revisited if necessary. The goal is to get the weight up to around 112 lbs and hold steady there for a bit.
I hit another PR this weeks with the weighted push-ups. Last Wednesday, I petitioned the universe for strength and perseverance, tossed 3 more lbs. in the back pack for a total of 14 lbs, and did 3X20 pushups - NO SPLIT SETS ON THE FIRST TRY!!!
6 more pounds, and I will be able to use the 20lb. weighted vest when I do push-ups. Not too shabby for this golden girl body.
As usual the flex Friday pic is belated. I haven't done a back shot in a long minute. I was very pleased and humbled. I had no idea all that was going on back there! Those back muscles can be so challenging to develop - I view them much like my 401K fund. I know money goes in there each pay period, but I don't really pay attention to how much it's grown if that makes sense. LOL.
In the meantime, I've just been enjoying shopping my own closet, finding creative outfits to wear for the Fall, enjoying the beautiful release of energy that comes with Autumn transitions in Nature, and of course enjoying time with my little Bengal Tabby, Billy Flynn. Mom is also making some of my fall favorites for dinner, so all these calorie increases are happening at an opportune time! LOL
I hope everyone else is enjoying some of the fruits of this Fall as well! Have a wonderful, blessed week everyone. I'll catch you next Sunday.
