Needs-to-lose's Journal, 20 Nov 13

I've been dealing with quite a few medical problems the last month or two and luckily, the meds are beginning to help. I was diagnose with a severe gastric ulcer recently and today I got a diagnoses of Barrett's Esophagus. Now I know the two main reasons I've been getting sick. The treatment, or recommendation, for the Barrett's is to avoid fatty and acidic foods, alcohol, peppermint, coffee/tea, and chocolate. I can pretty much avoid all of those except for the chocolate. I'm too much of a chocoholic, but I will make an attempt to cut back on the amount I do eat. On a much better note, my knee has healed well from my surgery back in Sept. Physical therapy is over with now but the therapist gave me a free one month membership to our local rec center so I can continue with my exercises. And I will start going after Thanksgiving, I have way too much stuff to do this week.
