Rdrunr557's Journal, 04 Oct 13

I just left all groups. I see people proudly losing weight and I'm glad for them but it doesn't happen for me. I've been low carb for over a year and only lost 16 pounds. The last 6 of those 16, I keep losing and regaining.

Maybe I'll try eating just some veggies and berries, I miss not having any fruit. I was upset because I had a banana with my granddaughter the other day. People have given me advise and I appreciate it but it's not because I'm not trying. I make my own flaxseed crackers, MIM's, cauliflower pizza. Even when I eat out with my family, I get steak and eggs because of hidden carbs.
I think that I think way too much about food and what I can have and what I cannot have. it is consuming my life and not getting me anywhere.
I wish everyone well!

Sometimes a good diet change can shake up the metabolism. Good luck! I lost on Atkins a few years back and then when I tried it last year I lost nothing. This year I started it with a 5 day fat fast and it kicked it into gear for me. However, I also did okay with an all natural diet with fruits, veggies, and lean meats. I think it is what works for you that is important. I do miss my smoothies! Oh, and you might look into the alternate day fasting or the 5:2 which is not bad and you can eat normally on non fast days. I lost several pounds on it. Good luck in whatever you do! The results are what's important and we are all different.

Well something was working if you lost 16 pounds (even though it should have been more). Maybe see the doctor to see if there are any medical issues (thyroid, etc.) or try a nutritionist who can tailor a program for you. Good luck!
