And, back into 112 we swing. A shout out to Chris for having a wonderful surplus cal experience! My next surplus day won't be until August 26. I'm mixing things up a bit as it will fall on a Wednesday rather than the weekend. I'm finally after a year, getting these locks trimmed. Only about an inch, but they really need it. And, then afterward Mom and I will order Thai food again. We really loved that restaurant. It will also be the last time I'll be doing 2 surplus days in a month until next summer.
Come September, I will cut it to 1 surplus day. I'll also re-adjust the surplus cal range to about 3500-3700 cals. This is due to significantly decreased activity when the pool closes and I don't have to mow the lawns anymore, LOL.
However, I am going to do something a little different and increase my daily average to 1725/day. It's only a little over a 2% increase, but this is to ensure I don't go below 112. Even though the pool is closing - reps, weights, and sets in the gym will still be increasing and the goal is to increase the resistance level on the recumbent bike to level 18 (I'm at level 17 now). I'll also switch from walking with the 20 lb weight vest to 3 times a week instead of one.
So, calorie expenditure will still be happening and it's my preference that I don't weigh less than 112. We'll see how it goes :-) For the time being - I'm just enjoying the last days of summer sun, fun in the pool, getting these muscles swole, and beautiful garden harvests.
Have a wonderful, blessed week everyone! The pic below is a reminder to this girl that your age and your life is what you make it! I'm turning 47 in 2 months and also celebrating my second year in maintenance this month. So much to be thankful for I don't know where to begin.
