Well, last night saw me do five loads of laundry, scrub both washrooms, take out the trash, the recycling, vacuum, dust, make (veggie) chili and a big pot of brown rice; all of this after emptying the dishwasher full of clean dishes and loading it with the dirty dishes that were piled in the sink (thank you, offspring). I nearly cut off my right index finger while washing a knife and bled impressively for quite some time, which only tweaked me out even more as “I don’t have time to bleed!” Knuckles are tricky joints – it’s hard to keep them immobile long enough to staunch the blood flow – especially when you’re trying to cook. I tore it open again this morning washing my hair -
My landlord also dropped by and we signed a new lease for next year – my rent is going up $25 to $925. He’s got several units in the building, and rented out a similar unit to mine on a lower floor for $1500. I am a lucky, lucky girl.
Needless to say, with all of these chores I didn’t get any time in on the bike, so will have to do penance tonight - weights and cycling. I’ll also launder my bed linens and shower curtain – it’ll be clean sheet night - whee! I’ll do the kidlets’ bed linens tomorrow night. Maybe they could learn how to unload a dishwasher first...
