Two days of riotous eating on my mini weekend vacation and a 5 lbs. gain! Even though I managed to stick to vegan foods there was a lot of processed vegan junk (mostly imitation meat) so I did stray from the whole foods part but how could I not being that our hosts were so extremely gracious and accommodating and bought nothing that wasn't totally plant based. But aside from the processed vegan meals they also supplied a bounty of fresh fruit. All in all it was a grand weekend. I'm sure the majority of this is water retention from a higher than normal salt intake.
It is amazing to me how in one short month my idea of junk food has been so transformed! It is both wondrous and scary how quickly a “new normal” can be established.
Time to double down! 😄
