I have now lost exactly 2 stone in weight. still a bit fed up, but not nearly as much as I was! 3lb to go to being in the 'normal weight' category for BMI and 5lb to go to reach the magic 15kg loss when I hope the type 2 diabetes will be re-tested and may re-classed as in remission. But why do I still feel fat?

We all have a fat day! You’ve done brilliantly 👏 it doesn’t matter what we do sometimes there’s always social media telling us we have to look a certain way for our height, age , muscle tone , skin etc etc - hey I’ve come to the conclusion in 54 it ain’t going to happen haha 😂 I am happy with what I’ve lost and the excersize I do and I am not wasting my life worrying is my muscle tone shite ( err yes it is) is my skin like a 20/30 year olds ( err no it isn’t ) be proud of what you’ve achieved and the journey that you ! Have undertaken 😘

Lisap...spot on 👍 Also injave found sometimes the brain takes a while to adjust to the weight loss, so you still feel fat. Very well done. You have achieved your goal. Enjoy 😁👏👏👏

Get a lightweight bag and fill it with things such as cans that weigh the same as your total weight loss. Carry it round for a whole day.

I am totally with you on that feeling. I have lost 6-7kg in the last year and i still don't think I am thinner. When we loose weight we still keep hold of the things we didnt like (belly wobble is mine) and even though people tell me i have none i still see it. It does take time for the old ways of thinking/seeing yourself to update. You have done amazingly. Do you have any only troisers from the start? Hold them up or try them on just to remind yourself of just how well you are doing.

thanks all of you - feel better. I still have a half stone to go though! and I have dropped 2 dress sizes and my trousers now have to be a size 10. logic tells me I'm not fat, but my heart says otherwise!

Maybe you can change your name for something new, like “happy and slim” or whatever works for you... These things work. You change the mantra, you change your thoughts... don’t know, just an idea 💡 😃
