I'm doing excellent controlling my eating habits when I'm at work. I only eat what I want to eat and I'm not tempted to eat out of plan. I just need to focus on having fruit ready to take with me so that I don't have to rely so heavily on the almond snacks that I started keeping at my desk when I get hungry. I have gotten my serving size down to 1, which is good given how much fat they have. But given the health benefits they offer (Omega-3), I will not obsess over the fat content right now.

The problem is when I get home, after I have eaten dinner. I just keep wanting to eat more than my allotted calories. So this is something I will have to work on. I'm really scared to get on the scale given what happened with the movie theatre popcorn on Sunday and how that killed my calorie intake goals. While Monday (yesterday) was better, I still exceeded the calorie limits of 1600. Also, I haven't worked out lately due to bad allergies. Although I now have some serious meds, I have to wait for them to take effect. And the combination of them all make me so tired, I'm barely getting through work, let alone thinking about doing a workout. So if I get on the scale, the results will consistent with these horrible episodes, which will make me discouraged and depressed.

Hey there, don't knock yourself down if you had some extra calories, those things happen. All that matters is that you get back to normal the next day, just keep trying! :) I know its hard to not get discouraged when you weigh in and it stays the same or goes up, I do it too, but just keep trying and you will start to see the results! Maybe you won't lose on the scale but will be losing inches! Good luck!

Thanks for the kind words of support. I did get the courage to get on the scale this morning and I ended up with a .6lb loss! I couldn't believe it. I'll take it.

And just think, if you had a .6 loss with your slip-ups this week, you can really have a great loss next week even with just one less slip-up. Then the next week will be even a little better...YOU CAN DO IT!

Thanks Catglaw! I am really motivated to stay the course. I had an EXCELLENT food day today. I just don't want to eat anything I'm not supposed to before I go to bed tonight.

Dont worry you will find out ways to help yrsel get over the boring times when you want to eat, and thats what it is, being bored. Losinisfun tipped me today to eat my sugar free jelly and he is so right, All thats needed is a taste in our mouths and you can only brush yr teeth so many time or have a glass of hot water/lemon and sweetener to taste, It does help, You stay focus, half the battle is knowing when you are making wrong choices

Unfortuantely, aspartame/ NutraSweet gives me a headache, so I can't have the fat-free, low calorie snacks that I wish I could eat. My only option is fruit or Egg Beaters (or Better'N'Eggs). But I totally agree with you Carmel8sons that half the battle is recognizing when wrong choices are being made.
