I am still here and kicking.
I have been terribly ill.
I just got out of the hospital last night around 11...I was very sick from E Coli poisoning. It just about killed my left kidney. Needless to say, I think I still lost weight due to the fact I've had a 104* temperature for the last week and a half and haven't been able to get out of bed, much less run to McDonald's.
I was also VERY sick to my stomach as you can imagine. I was severely dehydrated to the point where I couldn't close my mouth.
I hope to be back exercising within a week...I can't do it before then because of the strain on my spleen and kidney...
I'm just grateful for my health...and the fact that I didn't gain more weight since I wasn't on my diet...
please, please, please be careful what you eat. Especially when dealing with meats...which is what alot of us eat on this diet (atkins, low carb).

Did your doc tell you to drink at least 100 oz of water a day? Did you get phenergan for nausea?

OH MY! I'm SO glad you're better. That is nothing to mess around with. I'm glad you got the help you needed. Do you know what made you sick?

WOW!! That is really some drama! I'm so glad you are feeling better. That dehydration can REALLY zap you. Will there be long term effects from it? And I'm with sara - what made you sick?

I HATE PHENERGAN. It makes me terribly ill. I'm drinking lots of fluids. He actually suggested juice over water since water has zero nutrients. My electrolites were really low and since I couldn't eat, water just wouldn't do the trick calorie wise. So I'm drinking LOTS of cranberry, orange, grape, and apple juices until I can stomach some food.
I don't know what made me sick. I carried it around for quite some time. My poor kidney couldn't take it. It was my kidney being infected that brought attention to the E Coli. Nasty, nasty bacterium they are.
