DW's high school reunion last night. Cut back on calories during the day to offset what I knew was going to be a tough evening. It worked out pretty well and I stayed under my RDI (just). I suppose replacing food with alcohol isn't ideal, but it got me through the night and I was even able to tolerate the Star Wars guy.
One of DW's old classmates lives near us and is into biking. He was actually on the same ride I was last weekend, thought he did the 70 and I only did the 50. Will send him an email one of these days and see if he's interested in riding together. He's faster than me at the moment so I'll stick to mountain biking for this year, but if I keep going with the weight loss, I should be light enough to hang with him on the road bike next year.
