So I have a question. When FS gives you your RDI number is this the number of calories it recommends for a weight loss goal? Or just the number I need for maintenance or what? I just want to make sure I’m doing this right. I am okay with slow but steady weight loss. It is healthier for me that way as I have an eating disorder history. Anorexia as a child and binge eating as an adult.

Everyone's experience is different. Try other calculators and see what results they give, such as http://www.bmi-calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator/ For weight loss, I always enter "sedentary".

It is recommended daily intake for weight loss based on your activity level, height and weight. So I’d sedentary pick that, low activity, etc., after a few drops always recalculate it because it will not do it automatically 💜💚

I second both of them. Try another calculator and go by that for RDI. Good luck 👍😁

I do know that when you consume too few calories on a regular basis it can screw up your metabolism and you stop losing.

FS calculator is historically too high for you to lose weight. Try other online calculators. Good luck and experiment over time.

it does let you recalculate your RDI by allowing you to factor in activity level and what rate of weight loss you're aiming for - I did that and got a lower number. I still shoot for 200 cal lower and am seeing a slow even loss.
