Since it's the first of the month I HAD to post my weight. Lost 7.2 pounds since January 1st. But I gained over 3 pounds in the past week.
I've had 2 gallbladder/gallstone attacks since I came back from vacation, one yesterday and one on Thursday evening. Both were brief, lasting about 15 minutes but were very painful. I have to remember how to eat on a low fat diet. I did it years ago when low fat diets were popular. I remember the lady on TV (Susan Powter?) saying something like you could have 1 slice of cheese or over 20 potatoes for the same amount of fat. I started eating a baked potato almost every day. I would put either ketchup or non fat ranch dressing on it. I even bought non fat sour cream (it tasted horrible!) and mixed it with Lipton onion soup mix and put that on the potato. I lost weight then but wasn't able to log my food like I am now. I'm sure I didn't get enough protein, which has been a problem since I was a very young adult. I remember buying chicken breasts and having to remove the skin. Things were different then, you couldn't boneless and skinless chicken.
Anyway, I know I can eat healthy fats like avocado and nuts and not suffer any pain. But red meat especially causes me problems. And yesterday the only fat I had was butter and the pain started a couple hours later. I guess that means toast with jam instead of butter!
