Just something my grandma taught me. If anyone wants the recipe it is from a cook book from the 1980’s i have a copy of the Copy but can share it. I actually used this for a how to speech for my speech 111 class and had no cake left to bring home, got 100% on assignment with comments from the instructor and students.

It is the most amazing chocolate cake you will every taste. Its moist and rich and to the point where you want to eat more, but you know if you do you will probably get sick and go into a sugar and chocolate coma lol

I got my recipe from food and wine’s 40 best recipes. The frosting is so light and chocolatey! I think it’s called Mom’s cake.

Lol well if i could figure out how to ship things and actually have them handle the the package properly, instead of literally throwing it at the upstairs window... then sure ill ship it XD

After my workout, i will take a picture of my copy of the recipe and the frosting is just an entire box of powdered/confectioners sugar, 1/2 cup(1cube) butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla(though i just pour in like 3 teaspoons XD), 1/2 cup cocoa powder(i use hershey’s unsweetened powdered cocoa), and it says to use 1/3 cup buttermilk, but i always use a small amount of regular milk for it, mixing in small amount until i get a desired frosting consistency.

Sounds a bit different. Mine uses unsweetened chocolate, sugar, butter, heavy cream, etc.

I have never seen my grandmother cook with heavy cream for anything, but that could be because she raised me for many years and i couldn’t use milk products as a teenager

Now the cake, that has an entire 8 oz of plain sour cream for moisture and it also helps the chocolate flavor come out a bit more.

I cant have sour cream plain, but when cooked into bakery items, it doesn't seem to bother my stomach at all
