Today I broke down and had to eat an Atkins bar. This week my daughter is taking her graduation test, and since she is homeschooled we have to go meet the teachers and I get to sit and read. I didn't have any prepared snacks with me today. I hope this doesn't mess up my weigh in too bad tomorrow.

Just curious about that Atkins bar. Are you in induction? I thought that the bar was part of the induction menu? I've had 3 this week!

the sugar alcohol in some of those reduces the carb count like dietary fiber does......check the label and do the math! LOL :O)

Good luck to your daughter Nchls! And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good weigh-in in the mroning!!! Grace- A lot of people say that the bars and shakes stalls their weight loss, and in my personal experience I've gotten the same result. Extreme moderation is needed with those.

Grace, those Atkins bar stall most people, me included. I could not lose weight and as soon as I stopped eating them I began losing again. I am kinda mad at myself for eating one today, lol. Thank you shadowx1110! I know she is doing great! Only one more test to go tomorrow, and I will be ready with Induction friendly snacks!!

So glad to know about the shakes and bars. I thought it was too good to be true. They are on the Induction Made Easy Menu. They are gone. I am sleeping better without the caffeinated coffee, too. I know that's important.

Nchls, I am glad you brought the topic up, otherwise I would have kept on sabotaging myself! What do you think of Westsoy Organic Unsweetened Soy Milk? It has 5 g carbs, 4 g fiber! I make my own kefir with it and blend it with MIO Berry flavor Water Enhancer drops.

I haven't tried that brand of soymilk but I LOVE almond milk. You can get the unsweetened kind even in vanilla. Sometimes I will heat some up with a little bit of cinnamon in it and it is so good. The brand of almond milk that I buy only has 1g carbs in it.
