Its been a while since I've blogged.......
So last night, I just dreamed up a recipe because I had a taste for the Asian dish from Apple-bee's (Crispy orange chicken with rice). I'm trying to cook healthier. So I changed it up, but make a fabulous sauce to pour over my creation. There are a few things that I need change for the future though....like using splenda instead of honey or using olive oil instead of Margarine. Well...i just checked....maybe not olive oil. Wow...there are A LOT of calories in that!
But I'm trying to use more vegetables in my dishes. My sweet wants to know what is in everything. I don't know he fears my cooking or that he doesn't get something he doesn't like. Either way, I tell him about what I have dreamed up. It turned good. The sauce was sweet but tangy. I wish I would have had more rice at the time. I think it would have been even better. But still, not too bad for making it up on the fly.
