I went off plan for four days (?), just like an alkie! My body left fat burning and went back to glucose for fuel. I knew that I would gain, shocked that it was 6 pounds (on Monday). The court system looks at criminals to determine if they are remorseful for their actions or just remorseful for being caught. I definitely am remorseful for my actions. I used food like a drug, confused my poor body and am willing to take my licks to get back on track. It may take two or three weeks to get back to where I was and although that is disheartening, I accept it. This has been a metabolic lesson as well as a human behavior lesson (me being human lol). So many good things have happened in the past few days. My heart is full of joy and that propels me forward.

been there...done that! And totally understand. You know, finding your way back to a place of clarity...where you 'see' exactly what you 'did' - and you acknowledge all the negative impact it has - to how you feel, to your goals, to the weight gain, etc... not only is this a metabolic lesson and a human one (yes, we are all human) but a fantastic LIFE lesson on what to do that's right about changing a lifestyle! Picking yourself up...and moving back in the direction of your successful changes is what it's all about! Great job!!!

That's the bad part about going off Atkins, how quickly it comes back on. On the other hand, it will be a lot of water, so get back on plan and it will come back off. Good luck!
