I have been cutting out added sugar & trying to eat low carbohydrate. Not Keto but more on the lines of the GI diet. I realise that a lot of what I lost this week was water weight. I have also been suffering from a condition known as Hyperhidrsis (excessive sr=eating). This year (summer) has been the worst so far, especially on my face & neck. It is very embarrassing to carry a thick facecloth in my purse all the time. In the house, I have small towels everywhere, even on my pillow to sleep & in my car. I did some research on it when I came home from holiday last week. My doctor said it was caused by all the Cortisone I get for both 3 ruptured discs in my spine & for both my knees. I had come to think the relationship with sugar had more to do with it or exertion from carrying so much weight on my 5 foot frame. However, my research blames Opiods,Ibuprofen,anti-depressants & heartburn medication..........all of which I presently take (all prescription strength) & in many cases have taken for 30 years!! So a week ago, I chose to stop ALL medications including all vitamins. A lot of the excessive sweating is less (not gone). I even had 6 ins cut off my hair as it was always dripping. The salt water in my sweat is wrecking my hair by drying it out & then my hair breaks. I'd love to say I feel better but my back & knee pain (I need a replacement) are sometimes sooo very painful & I'm sucking it up. I know this is a long post but if anyone reads it & has experience &/or cures for Hyperhidrosis, I would love to hear their feedback. Thanks all & one day at a time xxx
