I thought my biggest appearance complaint as I lost weight would be my stomach. I had twins so I already have what is called the dreaded “twin skin”. Basically an apron of fat. I worried about how much worse it would get. Honestly after an initial tiny extra sagging my stomach region only continues to look better. And maybe it’s not bothering me so much because it already looked horrible.

The unexpected concern has been my arms. Especially as we go into summer. There is so much extra sagging fat that it looks like I’m wearing those arm pool floaties that kids wear. It doesn’t help that my forearms have lost fat making it even more obvious. I know I’m doing this all for my health and most days that enough.

Today though...it’s hard when you don’t look as good as you feel.

Don't feel bad, your arms will get better.I don't like my loose skin either, but it is way better to have saggy skin than body fat.

I'm actually PROUD of my arm bags because I know they are like deflated balloons that USED to be completely filled with FAT! Of course, I would love to have them gone! I'm thankful that my forearms are thinner, and that I got rid of those humps right before my wrists! I can wear 3/4 length sleeves and "hide" the upper arm flab, but I've even been wearing sleeveless shirts occasionally now, because I've come to realize that it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks about what I look like! People don't know where you've come FROM! Remember that -- most people don't even care what you look like. YOU need to love yourself at every stage of your weight-loss. The more you love the way you look NOW, the better you will look in the future. If you haven't read "The Secret," by Rhonda Byrne, you should consider it. It's a life-changer,.

Might want to google "autophagy loose skin". There isn't enough hard evidence about it right now, and anecdotes are flying around like bats under a bridge, but it looks promising.

Autophagy is where it's at! I'm currently on day 5 of fasting for the entire month of May.

That’s how my inner thighs look. Calves have shaped up nicely but it just won’t come off the inner thighs! Have you tried lifting weights? If you don’t have any you could find two things around the house that weigh the same and use those. Muscle will fill out the sagging skin. Even if you don’t gain muscle then you’ll maintain what you have and cause a higher calorie burn which will burn the fat quicker. It does take awhile to notice any muscle gain though. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the support! I’m nowhere near goal so just hoping they get better as I get closer. I’ll definitely add in some weights at some point. I just haven’t gotten into a rhythm yet with that.
