You are doing great! Keep it up. I had gotten up to 248lbs when I started 'running'. Meaning, I would do a sloow jog around the block. Not even two miles. I had to 'work-up-to-that'. Today I just did 11 miles. But, I STARTED with just trying to get a mile. The ironic thing is that when I was 248lbs I burned a ton of calories. Cardio got me wayy more 'bang for the buck' when I was heavier. Do your thing! Ignore anyone who tells you to do something different. This is your-damn-body and your-damn-life! Good luck!

It is OK to do your miles in segments—it still counts toward improving your health and it still keeps your metabolism working. I often only have 15-20 minutes between classes so I will walk . Don’t knock yourself down. If you can do a mile here and a mile there you will be surprised how quickly it adds up. No stretch that arm and pat yourself on the back.

Preface with: if there is physical pain don't do it... Otherwise heck if all is well so far I would suggest do the couple miles a few more times, maybe even 1mile am then 1mile that same afternoon. Then on a nice day pack a lunch and do your 2.5 to the library : ) take a day to do it 👏👏👏👏
