Well second 5K is done! WOW THAT WAS TOUGH! Up several very long steep hills, and they were all at the end, of course when you are already tired ahahha! Well we did well, I just feel great that I made it up those hills without stopping, I was truely worried, well I have to admit I was kind of worried about rolling down them on the way down too ahahaha! Anyway, I ended up getting 3rd in my age group (30-39) and 24th out of all 78 racers. Most of all I am happy because I improved my time by 1 minute, I figured with all the hills, I would have a slower time then my first 5K. My time today was 28:46, which no I am not a speed racer, but I am proud of my time. In high school PE I could never do those 12 minute miles they would make us run.........now I'm running 9:15 a mile at age 32 hahahah! Now if I could only improve my diet at the same time ahahah My husband got 2nd in his age group (same as me) and 10th over all. I am very proud of him, he is awesome! My four girls had a BLAST in there fun run. They gave out little metals to all the kids after finishing, I thought that was GREAT! Then we had a full day at the zoo (this is where the race was located) Over all I had a wonderful day full of quality time spent with the people I love the most! I hope you all had a great weekend!
