Great job, I love intermittent fasting, it's a great tool to save calories.

Well, in all honesty I was just do stressed out yesterday that I went to bed. Depression really had me down. I woke up this morning and had a nice cup of green tea and my wife made me breakfast. I calculated all of my calories and stuff for my meals today and today is the BEST day I’ve had all week. I’m really happy with it.

Oh, well, I am glad you are feeling better today 😊

Every day is a new day. The past is done and the future doesn’t exist unless we do things in the present. The present is where I am living now. It isn’t always the best place, but it is what needs to be shaped. I was able to meditate and find some peace, and I’m happy with that. My body feels good. And you know what? I took the stairs at work today. I’m on the third floor of my building and decided that the stairs is the best place to get in some quality cardio. Little things add up.

Stay your *own* path! 'motivation' is a fragile thing, and it is a blessing when it can move you to actions you really want (changing your eating and taking the stairs). Try not to let others tell you that your are 'doing something wrong'. They do not understand that you can only 'do what you can do'. I had to *shut people down*. They don;t actually care about *you* they only care about *being right* to feed their own egos... Also, I personally understand the depression and for me "Acceptance' is the solution. Getting there is where the mediation helps.

Yes, taking the stairs is a great option, do it if you can, as Adef says, we have to do what we can.

I agree with that in all fronts. I just need to accept myself. And I’ve been learning to do it. Technically I am not meditating because I’m not following nothingness. I keep my mind at peace and when thoughts start to cross my mind I give myself a single affirmation: “I am at peace”. For peace of mind is all I want. Peace brings happiness, acceptance, actualization, gets rid of anger, and hate. It covers a lot, so peace is what I want.

Easier said than done, I know, but whenever that depression starts to sets in because I slipped up on one meal, I work very hard to remind myself of the other meal that I 'didn't'. Progress, not perfection and definitely no room for punishment.

To be honest, the reason for fasting wasn’t good, but the fast made me feel wonderful. I think I’ll fast once a week for dinner and see what that does for me.

@herronjeremy - You know the old meditation joke? "I am meditating because I need to have Acceptance... wait, am I doing this 'right'??" 😜

What do u eat to get your fats so high up?

@uzair, My fat count is high today too. I try to focus on getting it up. Here is my breakfast today, which is at 60.71 grams: 3 eggs for 15 grams, 5 original banquet sausage for 26.67 grams, salted butter 17.28 grams, and toasted white bread for 1.76 grams. I overdo things on the butter for extra fat, and I still don’t have enough to meet my goal. And when I start my fasting, it’s going to be even harder. But I’ll find ways to boost my fat. Probably take a “breakfast snack” of sausage or bacon or something fatty to eat once my fast ends and to get me prepped for lunch. I need it to be some type of meet. When I buy hamburger I’ve been buying the 85/15. To up it a bit. I used to eat very lean before this diet, not knowing what I was doing. Today I had 370 grams of chicken, which added to my fat count. Though the butter REALLY adds to it. I cook my meat in butter and oil.

My Dad many, many moons ago went to a dietician, and she gave him radical advice. It was counte intuitive to anything at the time. He drank quickly a shot glass of good olive oil before lunch and dinner. And, his weight loss was impressive. When my numbers are not aligning, I do the same. I don't like coconut oil in coffee or other things. I just drink it 30 minutes before lunch and dinner. I enter my food "as I go" and I'll see before dinner if my fat intake is distorting the pie chart. If so, I simply drink it very quickly. Sometimes I put a dash of lemon juice and a little tiny bit of cayenne pepper and black pepper. I do what I have to do to quickly bring the fat ratio into alignment. It's very quick.
