oliversgoldfish's Journal, 25 Apr 08

Thank you for all the lovely comments yesterday. I'm feeling so un-motivated at the moment - is that even a word??!!! I nearly didn't log on today. I'm feeling rotten with this cold, I've not cooked anything all week, it's all been comfort food and this morning I'd put on a lb. I feel low and like I'm failing. I always always do this. Start with such good plans and intentions, lose a fair amount and then bugger it all up again.

I'm sorry, I know I'm just whining and moaning. I'm going to try to make soup for lunch today, I don't feel like it but my plan is to force myself to in about 40 mins. Maybe that will snap me out of it. I'll weigh again tomorrow and use that as this week's official figure. Maybe if I can be good today it may not be too bad. I don't think it's helping that I bought a loaf of bread with this week's shopping. I'm always very bloated after eating bread and I've been having about 4 slices a day with toast for brek and either a sandwich or soemthing on toast for lunch. It's a brown multi seeded one, which I love, but it obviously doesn't agree with me. I think I'll try to do without altogether next week......

Have a good Friday everyone.

Soup sounds like the perfect cure :D If only a magic genie would appear with a big steaming bowl for you. Hope it makes you feel better. Allow yourself to whine and moan a bit -- it's not your fault, it's the germs that have done this to you. Take it easy. Take good care of you.

Aw, I'm sorry you're feeling down and unmotivated. It certainly doesn't help your cause to be dealing with a cold, either. I know it's frustrating when you see yourself repeating old patterns but try to look at it another way. Think of yourself at your goal weight looking back from the future at how you are today. Hear yourself saying, "I remember feeling really down here. But right after this was where I turned it all around. I don't know what came over me, but I just knew this time I would be successful." Every successful journey looks exactly like an unsuccessful journey up to the point where the one quits. You aren't going to quit this time. This is the time you will succeed! *hugs*

Thanks both of you. I did force myself into the kitchen and I did make the soup. I've had some for lunch and I've got about another 3 portions in there as well now. That helps. I'm feeling a little better and I WILL keep at it. Thank you- both of you (((HUGS)))

I read your journal and just had to send you some *hugs* as well. I think your cold is really doing a number on your motivation, but I'm glad to hear that you made your soup! Once you feel better, everything will seem brighter and easier to accomplish! Remember, lots of fluids ...
