WHoa! You ran 3 miles?! Do you often do that? Maybe you are putting on muscle and your bod just needs time to recover! I'd say try to write your food down/track, even if you don't intend to follow the program perfectly...then you can look back and get some answers on the why after you weigh in and plan what to do differently if anything the next week. God job though...I can't even imagine running 1 mile!

Great job on the running! Remember muscle weighs more than fat, you are adding muscle. But on the upside of the scale, eventually this will work in your favor, since the more muscle you have, the more fuel your body burns doing the same ole things you used to do! Good luck and hang in there!

Your weight can fluctuate day by day for many reasons (lactic acid in the muscles from working out, too much sodiom, high humidity, etc.) It's really important to follow the plan, write everything down, and exercise. If you exercise a lot, you might need more protein. It will also keep you feeling more full, and help repair the muscles from running. The most important thing is to never give up. Take it one day at a time and reward yourself with non food items for small victories. Good luck!

Remember you need to string several good days in a row to see results. Go easy on yourself. Sometimes you'll hit a plateau. Think of something new to do for exercise or try a different w.w. meeting. We all backslide, the winners get back on track after a little let down and keep on keeping on. Good luck!
