Hello all
Been very busy with schoolwork. Trying to fight the weight loss fight too. Been biking, working, and trying to eat right. Look forward to Thanksgiving. Cheat Week!! lol, well, at least Thurs/Fri.
Got some rare middle-east rain. You would think it would clean off all the dust and dirt, it doesnt. It makes mud soup. Its pretty gross actually. Reminds me of dirty snow and slush. Plus with the oil and trash, puddles here just freak me out, like sewage water!
Anyway, not journaling much anymore. Maybe I need to.

Hi! Our rainstorm here sound more fun, even with flooded roads & power outages. I'm getting into holiday baking mode; cookies, muffins, brownies...I bake them and give them away. I love to share, and don't want to eat too much myself. I'm making Praline Charlottes & cranberry orange muffins for Thanksgiving, probably other cookies as well. I'd ship you some, but they probably don't travel that well, lol.

Those Desserts sound yummy! I am making some iced pumpkin cookies I did at Halloween that came out super. I would probably like your rainstorms better! And your grocery stores... lol. I am getting homesick again, lol.

Hey JP, when are you out of school for the semester. You must only have a few more weeks to go. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and cheat day. LOL. I'm hoping to get in a ride of some kind for Thanksgiving. Will be thinking of you.

Heather, I get out of school Dec 15 roughly. I am so looking forward to it. Finish one class this week. I hope you can get a ride on on Thanksgiving, that is a great idea. I hope to do the same before we party/eat! Concerned about the mess the rain made out here and my afternoon ride. I will affix my fenders this day! XD

Hey posterchild, what subject(s) do you study?

Hey JP, I rode in the cold on Saturday with some of my team. Shoe covers, lobster gloves, cap under my helmet. You'd think I was such the wimp. Leaves all over River Road, hiding rocks and twigs. I don't know how you MTB guys do it. Less than 30 to semester end. Rock it, ridah!

Lizzie, Right now its all IT stuff, mostly Windows as that is what my school seems to be offering in upper level classes. I am also in a Unix Programming Class (Shell Scripting). Heather, I think I know what you mean. I had city tires for a while, and just changed them. Its too chaotic here in the roads for me, and the bike paths/sidewalks/roadways I can ride on are full of sand, debris, and nails!

That's cool! :) Good you have classes for those subjects, I learnt all unix stuff on my own. Good luck with your studies!

I think il have to try your tires and your biking someday. Maybe a goal for next year. Do you do all that jumping the magazines always show? I'd be scared to death.
