Had a lovely day yesterday, although I am paying for it today with the kids. We didn't get in till midnight and they are right grotty today.
I have also hurt my back, I don't know whether it was carrying the bags yesterday or my hard jog on Thursday but I can't bend down. I am now loaded up with codiene! Lovely.
I am going to lay off the jogging this week and replace it with swimming. I frightened to stop the exericise all together. The jogging is so convienient - just step out your door. Swimming takes effort to get there ! However it 'll be good for my back as well as keeping up my fitness. I just don't want to ruin my summer by putting my back out or getting the dreaded sciatica again.

Don't push yourself with your back. I know how frustrating it is to want to do more and not be able to due to an injury. My knee really gave me a fit yesterday and I could barely walk. So had to take it easy yesterday and today. Swimming sounds good. Just don't push it. Have a great day.

I think Rebecca swimming is what I should do - its so easy on the joints! But I was enjoying that red faced feeling jogging gives. i have heard however that swimming is the best thing for toning your entire body as you can do all the strokes and tone all areas! But it would be nice to just be able to do what exercise I wanted without worrying about my seemingly fragile body.

Jill, sorry to hear about your back - please take good care of yourself while you heal. Hopefully it will just be a few days, maybe the swimming will actually help, and you can go back to jogging soon enough!

Its best to just take a time out and let yourself heal and then you can slowly get back at it. It was nice you had a good day with the kids. :)
