Well I have hit my first plateau, I can’t seem to get below 160.8 so I think I will try fasting today to see if that helps. I have been working out everyday for an hour, it seems so pointless when you hit a plateau...so hard to keep going when you don’t see any progress. I have decided to start taking measurements as well, I need to see changes so I stay motivated.

You might need to trim your calories a bit more rather than fast. Take a look at your empty calories and dump those first. I got rid of honey, jam, ketchup, cookies and crackers first. Fill up on low-cal veggies like cauliflower, bok choy, broccoli and mushrooms and be sure to have lots of protein and some fat at every meal. I also dropped the snacking in the evening. You've lost nearly five pounds quite quickly so good for you.

Thanks for the advice, prior to December I had not worked out at all, now I’m working out about an hour a day.
It’s really hard for me to restrict my diet. For some reason I find it easier to fast, if I don’t start eating then it doesn’t get out of control but I know that isn’t healthy and it would only be a short term fix if I don’t get my diet under control
