I want to start taking my dog with me on my walks but i'm afraid he might run away.I bought a body leash instead of a collar leash and it fits him securely.I took him around the yard for awhile and it stayed put but he pulls a lot. I'm afraid he'll pull free when we are outside. He's a 1 year 4 month old husky,he always stays close to me since i was the only one to take care of him when he was a puppy.I don't think he will break free,he pulls but stops to look at me when i just stand still. But i dont know,it might happen 😟. Should i just go for it and take him out? Maybe take some treats along to help his behavior?

Any advice? Did any of you just start walking your dog and how did it go?

Hi YellowLoupe, My dog has always been great on the lead, but he would run off if he wasn't on it. I think taking treats and rewarding them if they are good is a great idea. If you have a look on the internet there are plenty of sites that can help including videos. Victoria Stilwell is a great dog trainer and she has her own website too. Good luck with your training and your weight loss journey. 🍀🍀🍀
