Good afternoon buddies!

Today has been great so far. I got up early and decided to rummage through my "skinny bucket" to see what fits before hitting the gym. What is the the "skinny bucket" you may ask?

Well, when I was getting huge in college, I was so fed up with clothes not fitting me. So, my college sweetheart, said "well, get rid of them so that you don't have to see it anymore and cause yourself so much anguish." In hindsight, I don't think that was good advice, but I took it anyway. So, there were a few items of clothing that I just couldn't part with. I mean some stuff still had the tags! So I bought one of those big rubbermaid (er, walmart) buckets and filled them with these clothes that no longer fit me. My closet was a no-man's land. It hurt to have to buy size 26 and eventually size 28 clothes and put behind my 18, 20, 22, and 24s that once fit me in high school and early years of college. I carried this bucket around, from apartment to apartment, to my parents, back in an apartment, back to my parents and to apartment to apartment (yes, I was quite the boomerang kid).

So, back to this morning...I rummaged through my skinny bucket and found that about 3/4 of the stuff fit! I fit into those super cute size 24 shorts...yes, shorts! I'm wearing shorts again and feel good about it and how my legs look in them! I fit into those dark flare bottom jeans (size 22!!) that were hot in the early 00s, lol...and they look hot on me now! LOL! I'm all smiles, people! Now, granted some of the things that fit me, I dare not wear outside, because let's face it, I was 17, 18, 19 years old the last time I wore them...I mean, I'm a grown woman now (hard for me to believe, but true). So, I put the stuff that is no longer "age-appropriate" into a bag and will drop it (and the stuff that is too big for me now :))off at the Salvation Army before going grocery shopping today. But, some stuff, like my shorts...I'm keeping....and wearing...today! That and a few other items that I can't wait to wear. :) So, that's my day, folks...I had to share because I was so excited. :) I hope you have an exciting day...and if it's not exciting yet, make it so! God Bless. :)

I have sorta the same thing. But when i decide to go in the buckets i tell my husband i am going shopping. Just like you i am trying on clothes that when i bought didn't quite fit good enough and still have tags. Actually i am shocked that some of the stuff that didn't quite fit - now fits too loose. woooohooo!!! It is wonderful to go shopping back in your own closet! Now my goal is to have no shopping clothes in my buckets at home and have to go buy smaller clothes so i have something to wear! :) But isn't it an awesome feeling? Congrats on your terrific weight loss so far. Keep up the good work!

AWESOME!!!! I have a blue walmart bucket too with some clothes I refused to give up. I got into a pair of my jeans from way back. I still have a few things I cannot wear but come August I am going to be in that stuff. I have three more days of shows then I am off for a while. I am so tired. I refuse to buy any clothes until August....hopefully I will be in the single digits by then. Congrats on getting into the bucket.
