South Beach Phase 1 Day 1. Okay, the toughest part of phase one is giving up my morning coffee. I thought about buying decaf, but I'd rather go without. I only drink 2 cups in the morning, so I hope to avoid headaches from withdrawal. I just like the taste of it with breakfast. Also, I have a bowl of fruit that will be rotting for 2 weeks, since J has left the country for 16 days. That bites. BUT, if I do what the book says and lose 8-13 lbs in a week, it's worth the waste, I guess. Anyway, I'm psyched, and up for a new challenge!

YAY! Welcome to the cool kids! I can't wait to read your posts during this two weeks -- misery loves company, lol! When I get to eat fruit again it's gonna taste like candy, I'm sure of it. Good luck! Keep me updated.

If you have trouble losing weight the first week (I did my first time around) cut back on proportions and cheese. That solved it for me.
