So... holidays at the gym:
I was thinking it'd be empty. They're only open in the morning for 4 hours. I got there and had to cruise the massive parking lot for a few minutes until someone left to get a spot. I went in and the place was busier than I'd ever seen!
My only saving grace was cardio! So to all my FS friends that enjoy cardio, PLEASE CONTINUE! I'm so glad only like 1/3 the population lifts weights because on days like this, I don't wanna wait for a bench - since I got there an hour before closing.
Just enough time to do a million bench presses and floor flyes and was out in less than an hour. ~450 calories burned, and enough time for a nap before a long night at work! What a great day!
I just hope people don't start their New Year's resolutions with bodybuilding or I'll be vying for spots until February when the what is separated from the chaff 🤦🏼♂️.

I opted for some 🥶weather running this morning. 😳 Can’t wait until my 10K race is completed and make running secondary. I miss my weights!!!!

Wish you guys would have been my trainers when I went in for strength training when I was taking care of my parents. He'd start me out with cardio 'to warm up'. HATED it. Saw no point to it, but I was paying this guy to know more than me so I did what he said. Now, if that were to happen, I could happily tell him 'No' with no second thoughts.

I’m finding running totally useless in aiding weight loss but it calms my anxiety down to zero. I’m cool as a cucumber these days.

Yeah, not sure how the cardio was supposed to help me pick my mother up off the floor. I certainly never had to chase her anywhere. I just didn't question - which I should have and which I normally.

My gym (LA Fitness) is MASSIVE and the weight section was packed more than I have ever seen it (sigh). But, I'm with @Swedishblondie, cardio is not so much help with weight loss but GREAT for mental well being :)

1- just before holidays
2- the first 2 weeks of a new season of the biggest loser

Without a heart rate monitor your never really going to know how many cals burnt. I would invest in one mate👍
