is the RDI on Fatsecret what is recommended to maintain weight?

Good question. It is actually for taking off weight. For many of us it is too high. Mine says 1800. I do 1200-1300.

Thanks! Thats what i thought but wasnt sure. I just recalculated and it says 2000. That seems to correlate with other sites. All the sites ive been shows maintenance around 2300 to 2500 and weight loss from 1700 to 1950. No site ever shows the same numbers but they show a consistent range

Though I did lose my weight with 1500 calories, one pound per week, some weeks losing more than one pound. but I was not counting calories on the weekends and I was active

Im sure 2000 would wotk for me. Im doing 1800 and losing but i am pretty inconsistent. Some says its less, some days its more. Weekends are usually like 2100 to 2300.i think if i was consistent at 2000 it would prob work the same

I work out pretty intensely Monday through Friday so I like to have enough caloroes for that

I think Fat Secret overestimates calories for RDI - I shoot for much less.
