its been 3 months since I started this journey. I am please to say that i am surprised that my relationship with food and my body has changed. I was an emotional eater - out boredom, out of anger, out of sadness and out of joy. I guess you can say any occasion to eat.

since I decided to change my life, I no longer see my life through food. That is to say that I can drive by a fast food location without craving something. I can do shopping at the market and make healthy choices with out spending a dime on junk food or processed foods. I enjoy having a salad or a veggie stir fry without thinking this is good for me but honest to goodness want to eat it. I no longer crave chips or sweets. I have learned to listen to my body and not my cravings.

It has been only 3 months and have not been hungry in that time. I use to have tremendous cravings and feel hungry even after I ate a large meal. I use to eat 3 times in 2 days and these were usually large meals, now i eat 3 times a day (average to smaller meals) and I no longer feel hungry. I have loads of energy and my clothes are fitting better. I no longer want to spend Saturday in bed sleeping til late in the afternoon. I now go out an do things with my children.

I am starting to feel healthy and starting to like myself image again. I can look in the mirror and see the difference this new way of living (not diet) is making. I can see my goal (albeit far away) but it will come, all I have to do is be patient and continue the path I am on.

I no longer see celebration as a time to eat and be a gluttonous and I no longer seek comfort in food. After a life time of bad habits i finally feel in control of my body.

I cant wait to see what the next 3 months will bring :D
