Cricket's Journal, 09 Aug 07

Yesterday I took a break from following the diet to celebrate my anniversary. Dinner was great. I did avoid some of the worst offenders, but I also had bread, crostini, polenta, and creme brule, plus two glasses of wine (looking at this list it's hard to believe I avoided some stuff). Still, I didn't feel guilty because I've been really good for over a week. I did feel really, really full - uncomfortably full - after dinner and actually looked forward to a more reasonable day of eating. Tonight I feel much better, full of energy, and ready for tomorrow. I can see why I was such a couch potato when I ate poorly all the time.

Glad to see your progress! Thats great. We were just talking about how different types of food give different feelings of full. We do a breakfast with these tofu crepes, filled with ricotta, yogurt and a little fruit, along with some sausage. Anyways-- we both felt like our stomachs were full of food, but we did not feel the carb-way-too-full feeling.
