First day today, I'm hoping following this will help me to loose this weight. Is 1500 calories per day fine to loose weight? Or do I need less?

That depends on a number of factors such as your gender, age, height and level of physical activity. There are quite a few calorie calculators online and Fat Secret has one as well. All the best!

Well they set it as 1800 per day. So I'm sure 1500 will work better

I agree with vavablig. See how it goes for the first week or so and play / adjust your calories as your body doing

FatSecret calculated my TDEE waaaay too high.If you want to be safe work out your own TDEE online and change your calorie goal on FatSecret manually.
