OMAD (One Meal A Day) Eating window 6:00pm-8:00pm
🥛 Yesterday I did not eat any solid food and only consumed 900 calories and 11 net carbs of protein drinks. The reason was that I needed-to-stop-eating! Wednesday and Thursday was filled with 'compulsive eating' and the only way to stop the 🚂 train was to take a day off from food!
I am trying to 'bulk up' for weightlifting, but, I simply cannot do multiple days of 'carbing up'.
🗣️ <rant> I know that I 'get out of control' when I start eating a lot of carbs. I know that I gain weight and will continue to do so. I need to just be honest and admit that even though I 'should' be able to 'act right' I SIMPLY DON'T. It seems f##ckng stupid of me to keep trying any diet that I have proven that *I* can't do (but others can).
So for me...
🍽️ I cannot consume food all day. Fasting most of the day is what works for me. Previously I have been 'obese' ALL my adult life. Fasting is what changed that. I need to continue fasting (and I do *enjoy* fasting) all my life or go back to being 'obese'. It is that simple. 🍕 I need to eat low carb. Eating too many carbs makes me want more carbs. I then blow my carb (and calorie) count. <rant/>
👍 I made it to the Gym yesterday and worked out. The reason this was so important is that I need to go to a gym to take advantage of some info @JimmiePop directed me to that basically says you can spend an hour in the gym 3 days a week to do the basic 'compound exercises' (like squats and deadlifts) and get the most out of your workout.
⏳ A great article @JimmiePop sent me that really helped me not waste a lot of time and avoid a lot of mistakes with my workouts is: "F##karounditis" - https://bit.ly/2E6QJ1t
Current workout (3 days a week (Sun/Tues/Thursday)) [3 sets of each]
Bench Press - 50lbs (10 reps) Deadlift - 100lbs (6 reps) Squat - 100lbs (10 reps) Bicep Curl - 40lbs (10 reps) Shrug - 100lbs (10 reps) Pushups - (10 reps) Crunch - (33 reps)

I related to a lot of your rant & agree with everyone here. knowing what works for you AND knowing yourself is half the battle. your determination to succeed is the determining factor. support is here when you need us!!
I am doing the stronglifts 5x5 program as my beginning strength training routine- compound weight lifts 3x week meant to give power. loving it. (swearing at weights while finishing but feeling smug & powerful when I leave)
good luck!!

Chris- yes, the research I did showed it as the most efficient for beginners to learn/ progress quickly to get solid muscle foundation so that they then would go more customized based on their goals/focus areas. Glad to hear you stayed lean- trying to get there, lol!
