Workout #83 today of 2018. New record for post high school working out. Of course, every workout for the rest of 2018 is a new record for post high school working out, and has been since late May.

New owner at gym showing up and encouraging upselling by the staff. I've used the silent glare approach so far. It seems to be working, since they are asking others, but not me, so far. :)

I still haven't injured myself at the gym. It's weird. Maybe the padded floor helps. After not working out consistently for years, then doing 3-4 workouts, most of my daily joint pain went away. It really does work. I routinely hurt less daily now, exercising, than I did for the years without regular exercise. And that even includes the good pain from sore muscles after working out. I like when I can tell my abs or quads got a good workout, because I know the lactic acid is overreacing and making me stronger.

The implicit accountability of people expecting you at a gym does encourage going. It's fun being on a positive cycle. Let's see how long it goes. I'm still not sure if I should keep thinking of it as daily exceptions (OK, I'll go this morning) or part of a routine (I'm going this morning because I go this morning). I'm not always so good at routine.
