Week 6

Well hello again!
I've been in Strasbourg, France for the past week doing a work experience placement in a clothes shop. I did plan on writing down everything I ate in a little notebook but when I got there realised it wouldn't be that easy as breakfast and dinner was cooked in the hostel and lunch was always got from somewhere near my work placement - although I never succumbed to the McDonald's right outside :]

So that's the reason I haven't got any diet calender entries for the past week...

Anyway, back to my trip. It was really cool. We left last Saturday at 3.00am (yes, in the morning!) and joined the coach at a motorway service station before beginning the 18-hour coach journey to Strasbourg. The journey itself wasn't, really, that long. I spent most of it sleeping, reading or talking with the rest of the people. I met loads of nice, new people and got to practice loads of French, which was great.

If anyone on FS has ever been there, you'll know that it's really pretty - but it was reeeeeeeeeeally cold, even when the sun was shining!

So anyway, you couldn't visit France without having a croissant or two and some traditional Alsacian (the region I visited) specialities. So I was pretty naughty... that's why I've said this week was followed poorly.

But it wouldn't have been as fun I've I hadn't sampled some of the delicious food at the patisseries and boulangeries.
But I was in fact very surprised to find that I'd only put on 0.6 of a pound, so all was not lost!

Back to the diet this week and I hope everyone else had a great half term!
65.1 kg Lost so far: 4.3 kg.    Still to go: 1.6 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.

Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. That's great! Don't stress too much about the vacation and eating ..... it's always about getting back to what's working once you make that tiny detour. Now you better have had some CHEESE when you went to France!!!!! :)
