Dinner calories: 440 1 tin of sardines in mustard sauce cooked in olive oil, oregano, paprika, lemon juice, onion, salt & pepper; baked for 15 mins @ 425. Served over 1/2 cup rice. Next time mix some of the tinned mustard sauce into the rice & add capers.

did that taste good, the sardine thing? Sardines are very healthy, but I lack imagination in cooking them into any kind of recipe. Clearly it's not your case! :) Those are ingredients I would not have necessarily put together. But, it's worth a try! Tks for sharing.

I love sardines, but have only eaten them cold out of the can. the smell drives the family nuts, but I enjoy them. will try cooking with them.

Once in a while I buy a brand called CALIFORNIA GIRL— the ones with the Mexican tomato sauce. Lots of protein. Lots and lots of salt. And only 3 in a can. Little tiny can. But they are good with some saltines and a Coors non- alcoholic beer. I don’t drink— but this stuff tastes like the real deal.

Try and find sprats. Not so fishy smelling.
