Jill-gill's Journal, 03 May 10

I think that since doing Atkins I have rid my body of Candida. I have just realised that certain symptoms I used to have - I don't anymore. Anyone else have experience with this??

wowwee! I just read a bunch of stuff - the least of which was a long list of symptoms that could be caused by this yeast overload, and I used to have a bunch of them! I never knew - wonder if this was the cause? The primary way to get it under control is to drastically reduce sugar intake - well, I guess the Lord is always looking out for us, even when we have no idea!! Thanks for this post Jill - I will keep reading...

I know! It occured to me when I first started and I read the book , I had a load of the symptoms - but I kinda got caught up in everything and forgot about it. I was thinking this morning that one of the symptoms (a horrid one - guess?!) had vanished without me noticing. THE HORRORS OF SUGAR!!!!

I too, have noticed a lessening in the Candida symptoms. Although, I find that if I eat too much cheese, they can flare back up. In his book, Dr. Atkins tells us that this can happen with cheese, nuts, vinegar, soy sauce, and any other foods that have a higher mold count or are brewed. Who would have thought? And often times the foods that cause the yeast problems are also ones we have food allergies to. Personally, I don't know what the culprits were, I am just glad it is gone!! lol
