I know that weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise but would like to know what you are doing to supplement the diet.
When I lost weight a few years back, walk-in was my only mode of exercise and I am back at doing that now. I’m in a place where the only gym available is Virgin active and we all know how expensive they are and I don’t want to be tied down to a contract in this place.
Any walkers/runners? Weight trainers/lifters?

if you are able to workout on your own the best exercises are squats burpees star-jumps lunges push-ups and planks, do variations of these with or without weights and you'll be set for fitness success.

I also had previously lost weight only using my treadmill, but after I stopped smoking I put most of it back on again and the second time around I started with some very light weights and started doing strength training watching You Tube videos (although I still do about 50% cardio). I feel much stronger this time around and while I did get quite slim before - I feel more toned in my legs, back and shoulders this time round. I started with 1.5kg weights and now use 6.5kg weights on leg days. Things like my collar bones suddenly are clearly visible, which is such a nice change coming from a flabby body with a generous double chin. But, on the other hand doing something outside like Parkruns on Saturday mornings has also been a great free thing to do if you can find one in your area. I started off walking it with my husband and my dog occasionally, but then progressed to jogging a bit and trying to beat my personal best time. I find you need to do something you enjoy and that will keep you going back for more. I now do mostly Hasfit videos on You Tube and the Hasfit Tribe Facebook group is a great resource for support and advice as well. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!

I do have a couple of weights in the house and plan to start incorporating them soon. I looove squats but hate burpees and lunges. But will soon start on them.

Burpees are king! Start with 10 and build up slowly, let me know how it goes.

I'm at virgin active and loving it but I understand your struggles- I can only afford the student-special. There is something called BBG which is a 12 week program you can follow at home, for free if you get it right... I filled old milk bottles with water for weights etc. it's 1/2 an hour 3 times a week and works amazingly! Just look up BBG by Kayla Itsines and every day you need it you can google "BBG week 1 day 1" for example.

I have a DVD for beginners of her, they are 20 minutes each exercise I started with that last year, and a new DVD of 10 minutes each when you don't have enough time , I love it. I have like 5- 6 DVDs, I know her exercises makes you feel sore the next day but you get used to it 😊 I also have an appt called 30 days fitness challenge . It's good too

here, I am a walker. along with a healthy diet it's been the best form of physical activity for my weight loss. Belly dancing for an hour a week will also help strengthen the bodies mid section and because it is fun that is all I do.

Lazy girl’s exercise: once you are in bed, on your back, do a couple of bridges. Then turn around and do some supermans. Back on your back, tighten tummy and do some but clenches.
