Today... was nothing... I refuse to call it a failure just because I ate a Magnum Ice Cream Bar.
Yep... I ate all of it. Lunch was ill planned... I stopped by the local Natures grocer and thought... I'll pick up some good jerky and a stevia peach tea, head back to the office and mind my day...
And for the most part that's what I did... skipping the details of extra purchases.. I had a decent lunch break... It was right after lunch that the problem came, I'm at the desk and here comes this huge ice cream truck... it's here for the entire office to celebrate all the June Birthdays. yay.
I don't want to be left out of the party and miserable just because 99% of my diet is Keto.

So, I got a magnum bar. FOR SHAME!!
And guess what... IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!

Sure for a small moment my sugar is going to sky rocket and it'll be gone... and I'm still having steak and broccoli for dinner and right back to my bullet proof coffee in the morning. Because 99% of my diet is about Keto.

But I will give my self 1% just the once a month, blue moon moments to have something I enjoy and actually do just that... enjoy it.
Overeating, like I used to took the fun out of eating... I enjoyed nothing. I ate to fill up, fill a void, feed a rush. Not any more.
I'm better educated now, better informed and I don't have to keep doing what I always did just because I did it.

I.E. ditch good eating habits for the rest of the day or week or month... just because of a ice cream bar... or whatever I happened to be tempted with that day.

By Saturday I will be right back in ketosis and burning my old self off while I work to make a good life for my new self to shine through.

July 9th is my birthday day... I'll be 35... By then, I think I'll have room for another Magnum Bar.

Good for you :) We all need a treat every now and then. Then, hopefully, back to business (on track).

I would of had ice cream has well I am sure. Good choice those are so yummy. I like them a lot.

Good for you! We all need that occasional treat and wtg at getting right back on that proverbial horse again. You are stronger than I. I’m good while I’m sticking to it, but once I break the mould and sway to sweets it usually sets me on on a few days binge. I think you deserve a congratulations... so- congratulations!!! :)

Im sure nobody will walk you through the streets of kings landing naked chanting shame while people throw rotten fruit and vegetables at you. Those ice cream bars are great - good for you! We all need a little reward or treat sometimes.

I feel your struggle. Work is my most difficult time. They are always tempting me with free processed foods. And I'm a nurse... you'd think they at least do better in the healthcare industry, nope! Building a new generation of patients I suppose.
