I'm trying to eat whatever I want and lose at the same time. Portion control, sugar and carb control to an extent. I'm not sure how it's going to work but when I feel deprived I tend to over eat or binge eat.

Have you looked into fasting? I find it much easier to not eat than I do to eat some tiny portion, especially if I know that I can eat what I want soon enough.

Intermittent fasting * look it up n check if you are able to do this. I love it cause I feel I eat a lot but at calorie maintenance (which is my goal)

Yes, intermittent fasting is just limiting the hours you eat during each day. It really helps

Good job thinking about a plan. I started by keeping track of calories and then adjusting from one kind of food to healthier ones, one step at a time

PORTION CONTROL is the absolute best. Do not eat less than 1200 calories per day though, oryour body will go into "starvation mode" and quit repairs etc. I am a registered advanced practice nurse. 1200 is the very minimum amount of calories to take in even if you were lying immobile (a few more if you are a man) to maintain your healthy body, but with any exercise, you will lose weight. 2-3 pounds per week after the first week or two is a good number. Exercise is important. If it is really hot where you live, exercise in your house or go to a mal or wal mart to walk in AC.
