Official one week weigh in - Down 8.6 lbs for the week! Very happy with first week results. Already seeing reduction in water retention. Clothes fitting better and aches and pains diminishing.

The little dialogue boxes that pop up after entering my weight are interesting. Learning to take them with a grain of salt - Today’s was you are gaining more than 9 lbs a week!....My weight popped up 1.4 lbs from yesterday only. They need to work on their algorithms. One day does not make a week.

The other one that is concerning is the we missed your weigh in pop-up. I am speaking from my own experience. When younger, my weight was just the opposite. I was underweight and it was my goal to be as low as possible. I used the scale to make sure I didn’t gain any weight. To the point, if a meal put on an ounce, I was doing what I could to get rid of it immediately.

So, the reminder to weigh can be a challenge or trigger. I also ignored it for many years as I put on the weight. I have learned Its not my critic nor my judge. It has no voice. Well some do, but it is mine that is important. I am grateful i can now use the scale properly. Monitoring my overall progress and knowing what is a real trend and what is a normal variation.

Overall, I’m loving the site. It is so easy to record what I eat and help stay on track. Before it was easy not to be honest with myself because of how difficult it was to track what I eat. Now, I find myself wanting to be honest to get a complete picture so I can make some real and permanent changes.

It helps that my wife talked me into getting a smart phone and using the available apps. I am about the only thing she is patient with. Probably because she knows I can be as stubborn as she. But, she is also the more fearless of the two us when it comes to personal change. I am blessed.

Kinda like a bill reminder...I know when I need to make my payments, but at times it has saved my butt. Just as easy to close them to get that possible life saver when needed. But if they do become too annoying, I’ll turn them off. Thanks for the support!

Welcome and great job - the little reminders are kind of funny - I get the one to remind me to eat dinner...something about even robins eat worms - or something like that. it does create a moment of pause in my day to think about where I am at with things. I wish you all the best on your adventure.
